If you're interested in studying in China but don't know where to go, remember CUCAS is here to help! | | | | | | Since we launched our revolutionary all-in-one application package for Tsinghua University and Peking University last month we have been overwhelmed with interest - a testament to the reputation enjoyed by these two great intuitions. However, some people still want to know: | | | Why is applying through CUCAS better than trying to apply directly to the school? - It's Easier: We take care of the paperwork, negotiate with the school on your behalf, and our English-speaking support team is always at your side.
- It's Faster: Completing most of the application steps online saves you time.
- It's Safer: We make sure there are no errors that could cause your application to be rejected and offer a study-abroad guarantee if you do not meet the requirement set by your university of first choice.
- It's More Convenient: Applying through CUCAS means no more long-distance phone calls at inconvenient hours. We're based in Beijing and enjoy a strong relationship with the universities we represent so we do talking for you.
- It's Value for Money: If all the things we've mentioned aren't enough, our package also includes: airport pickup in Beijing, express worldwide delivery of your documents and assistance with booking accommodation and exam preparation courses.
| | | | | Christmas Time at CUCAS Means Presents for You! | | It's getting colder in Beijing, and it's really beginning to look a lot like Christmas (You know that song, right?), so we thought it would be the perfect time to give you a heads up about our Christmas giveaway. We don't want to spoil the fun by telling you exactly what's involved, but we can tell you that there are some fantastic prizes up for grabs including: US$100 Amazon gift vouchers and $50 CUCAS vouchers, which would make applying through CUCAS free. Pay attention to our website and Facebook page over the next few days to find out how you could win! | | Life Channel in China Is it customary to tip in China? No, tipping is still very much a foreign concept in China. In restaurants which aren’t used to serving foreign customers, giving a tip may actually cause confusion and some embarrassment for the waiter or attendant, and will most probably be refused. In 5 star international hotels and restaurants which cater specifically to foreigners, a tip may be accepted but it is by no means expected or required. When taking a taxi, the driver will be appreciative if you ask him to keep the change, but again, this is by no means normal practice in China. | Every week, we'll send out a newsletter concerning studying in China.
