Saving time is saving money

A higher education is an asset. But it's also a financial burden. That's why maximizing your efficiency, reducing your costs, and finishing your degree as fast as possible is advice worth thousands. Summer classes can help you do all three at once. Here's how:

Finish school faster

Getting the extra credits can help you finish your degree a whole semester or year early. That means the extra cost is offset, and perhaps exceeded, by the reduction in overall costs, which includes room and board, tuition, and meal plans.

Focus

One of the biggest virtues of summer classes is that you're only taking one or two at a time, meaning you have the brain space to delve deeper and learn more.

Maintain your study habits

Summer classes keep your brain in shape for fall semester, easing the transition into a full class load.

Enjoy smaller class sizes

Sure, nobody wants to take classes during summer. But that means fewer people are. Small classes mean personalized attention, so it's a good time to take classes you may struggle with—like Super Advanced Calculus for Soon-to-be Physicists.

Keep your sanity

If you can't stomach a whole semester of 18th-century British literature, you can knock it out during summer in just a few weeks. Fast, furious, over.
