<div><b>DESCRIPTION </b></div>

<div>Under a scheme introduced by the Commonwealth Government, funding has been provided to support research commercialisation training. The Commercialisation Training Scheme (CTS) provides high quality research commercialisation training for the next generation of Australian researchers as a means of equipping them with the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to bring research-based ideas, inventions and innovations to market.</div>

<div>Up to fifteen scholarships will be available for students commencing the fully online program in semester 2 2011, from 21 November 2011 to 3 February 2012. The orientation week for the program commences 14 November 2011.</div>

<div>Recipients of the CTS Scholarship will enrol in the Graduate Certificate in Research Commercialisation and will undertake the following topics:</div>

<ul>
<li>Knowledge Transfer in Research Commercialisation (KTRC) – core</li>
<li>Project Management and Research (PMR)</li>
<li>Entrepreneurial Foundations (EF)</li>
<li>Global Sustainability (GS)</li>
</ul>

<div><b>BENEFITS </b></div>
<div> </div>
<div>The CTS Scholarship provides an exemption from tuition fees for the Graduate Certificate in Science and Technology Commercialisation and an allowance equivalent to 6 months of an Australian Postgraduate Award stipend (currently $22,860 per annum). Selection for the scholarship will be based on the extent to which commercialisation training will add value to the student’s research higher degree experience and enhance a student’s career prospects.</div>

<div><b>ELIGIBILITY </b></div>
<div> </div>
<div>Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia or New Zealand citizens, and be enrolled as a full-time student in a Doctorate by research at Flinders University and have at least 12 months of candidature remaining.</div>

<div><b>APPLICATION </b></div>

<div>In addition to the application for the scholarship available at the link below, CTS applicants must complete the <a href="http://www.student.qut.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0015/13821/postgraduate-coursework-admission-application-domestic.pdf">Application for Admission</a> into the course at QUT by October 28. The course code for the Graduate Certificate in Research Commercialisation is IX97.</div>
