FAQ

Do I need a visa to study in China?

Yes, there are three types you should know about. The ‘X' visa (student visa) is for programs that last for over 6 months and can only be applied for after being approved by the school. The ‘F' visa (business visa) is for programs that last for less than 6 months and is usually easier to apply for than an ‘X' visa. And finally, the ‘L' or tourist visa which is usually only used by students enrolled in short-term language courses lasting less than a month. But remember, that which visa you apply for may also depend on your nationality and where you are applying, as the rules differ from place to place.
